St. Robert School Mission Statement

“St. Robert Catholic School, in partnership with parents and staff, strives for excellence in faith, scholarship, and service.  In a safe, warm family environment, Christian attitudes and values guide each student spiritually, academically, and socially to meet the challenges of the contemporary world”

Dear St. Robert School Parents,

The purpose of this mailing is to ensure accurate communication and understanding between school and home.  The partnership between home and school is the key to a successful school and successful students.  We are a team.

As you are all aware, events in the world have resulted in safety at school becoming a major issue.  Parents want to know their child (ren) is safe and secure in their school building.  This is also a goal of St. Robert School.

Student safety and security for all students is dependant on all adults and students following the safety procedures put in place.  Whenever there is an exception, the entire system is compromised.  The addition of 22,000 square feet at St. Robert School has necessitated a realignment of the safety procedures and routine.

Our mission statement is based on a ,”safe, warm, friendly environment;” but within this description there have to be rules and procedures to ensure the safety of all children all day every day.  Please review the St. Robert School visitor, arrival and dismissal procedures and understand that they are in place for the safety of all children and staff.  While we are blessed to be in a low crime area, we also must not leave the school vulnerable.  It is imperative that home and school cooperate.  These rules are in place for the safety of all, not to inconvenience.

  • Morning arrival runs until 7:50am.  At 7:50am all outside doors are locked.  All late arrivals must come through the school office on Henry Street.
  • During the school day any visitor for any reason must come to the school office and sign in to receive a Visitor Pass.
  • Pre-Kindergarten parents have a picture ID that must be shown to the staff member monitoring the office to be admitted to the school.
  • Teachers, students, and staff are prohibited from admitting any parent, visitor, or student into the school after doors lock at 7:50AM.  Visitors and others must be admitted through the school office.  This includes parents trying to enter with the after lunch crowd.
  •  Park in the Henry Street lot and enter on Henry Street after 7:50am.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.  The rules regarding admittance to the school are solely for safety reasons and we appreciate your compliance.  Together we make St. Robert School warm, safe and secure for all.

Christ’s peace,

Mrs. Susan Sharp
